18. Delirious or ultrasensitive

Another book where I am not going to know what to talk about because it's so far from reality. Not only mine, any type of physically possible reality. I have been having trouble finishing this book, and I might have skipped a few pages just to make the delirious journey shorter. I'm talking about "Die Tyrannei des Schmetterlings" by Frank Schätzing, a sci-fi story that lost me on the way. It lost me, probably because of my weak interests in reading about slimy creatures that were created by some bad humans in order to destroy some other creatures in another world. I mean, maybe I would have enjoyed this more as a movie. Maybe not. All I’m saying is that it took a lot of concentration from my part to read, imagine and keep track of the characters (did not succeed always). Oh, and the fact that AI is playing quite an evil role in this book, becoming sentient and Hitler like, I did not find this very pleasant nor realistic. I have no clue about our future in the AI era, but I’m supposing it’s not going to be like that. Of course, you might say - Realism in a sci-fi book? C'mon Victoria! What did you expect from this book, and why did you in the first place have expectations from a story? A story is not supposed to fulfill your needs or expectations, or make you feel good. A story does just that - exists. Oh well, I know that! But I’m a living human in need of stories to make living possible. So, let me make stories! Let me set words next to each other and observe how they come to life, mingle and give birth to meanings I was not thinking about. Ok, I stop here 😁
